GO USA!
Whenever I see something like this, I try to convince myself that it was intended as a clever bit of sarcasm. And yet.. the hair, the cheesy moustache, the bandana to hide the receding hairline, the recruiting of children to fill out the political crowd. Well, it all fits a bit too well. Perhaps- being a bit more optimistic- this photograph simply illustrates the problem of a heavy reliance on spell-check and the growing lack of attention to detail.

Wacky Turkish Postcards
In fact, I suspect that this little gem of male chauvinism is probably not Turkish in origin. I did however find it in Turkey years ago and have regretfully witnessed many such scenes, except the men are less like models and more like street cleaners and the women are altogether typical. I will skip over the pose.
My reaction was shock, followed by eye-rolling disgust and then, to my surprise, mild amusement at its multi-faceted vulgarity. Ayip bir sey, indeed.

Dolly Parton- The Early Years
From http://www.moderna.org/lookatme/about.php
LOOK AT ME is a collection of found photos.
These photos were either lost, forgotten, or thrown away. The images now are nameless, without connection to the people they show, or the photographer who took them. Maybe someone died and a relative threw away their photographs; maybe someone thought they were trash.
Some of the photos were found on the street. Some were stacked in a box, bought cheap at a flea market. Showing off or embarrassed, smug, sometimes happy, the people in these photos are strangers to us. They can't help but be interesting, as stories with only an introduction.

Forgive me for this but….
This photo reminds me of any beach in Bodrum or Kusadasi Turkey around July.

As if Anti-Semitism isn’t bad enough…
Either this guy is a lousy speller or this photo was taken at the recent International Natural Fruit and Vegetable Beverage Producers (INFVBP) trade fair, held in New York.

Victorian Gay Marriage
I wonder how much the objection to gay marriage is based on tradition ? If we had these wedding pictures on our walls of the long-dead Uncle Harold and Uncle Clive and grew up not paying much attention to it, would it be anything to get worked up over?
Tell me what you think.. leave a comment. I'd love to hear your ideas!

Police chase impaired driver through cornfield
Police in the Holland published this picture of a cornfield after a suspected of driving under the influence of cocaine led police officers on a wild chase through a rural part of the country. The driver rammed a fence, knocked over two apple trees and zigzagged through the field before police managed to make an arrest Friday in Dussen
