Scopitone- Ain't it Just Like Me
I know that I normally have Scopitone Wednesdays but, this being a special occasion, I thought I would put all my Nomads in a party spirit with this little ditty. Still sounds cool despite the fact that all the dancers are probably grandmothers now. Enjoy.
I admit to doing a double take at the man lounging under the canopy in the first seconds of this clip. A flesh colored speedo? I suppose this is a balance for all the women dancing in the other Scopitone clips. Okay.. now, let's do the Hully Gully.

It's a Happening World…
Here's a happy song by Paula Wayne to put a Nomadic smile on your face. Special thanks to Scopitone for this happening clip.

And One of Them Just Winked….
I thought you might enjoy a bit of beach blanket madness. By the way, I still dance like the guy in blue Speedos- even to slow songs.

Blowin' in the Wind
"Blowin' in the Wind" has been covered by hundreds of artists. The most commercially successful version is by folk music trio Peter, Paul and Mary, who released the song in June 1963, three weeks after The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan was issued.

Misirlou
The song was first performed by the Michalis Patrinos rebetiko band in Athens, Greece in 1927. As with almost all early rebetika songs (a style that originated with the Greek refugees from Turkey) This song was rearranged as a solo instrumental guitar piece by Dick Dale in 1962. Dale's father and uncles were Lebanese-American musicians who were a part of the aforementioned ethnic nightclub scene.
